▸ The Mass Share Mechanic
Last Save Standing · weekly challenge

Every Monday, the AI co-host posts a challenge:

▶ WEEK 14 · SAVE STATE STANDOFF
POKEMON CRYSTAL
NUZLOCKE RUN
Last team alive wins147 in

To join, you share an invite card to one other place — your X, Discord, Reddit, group chat, IG, TikTok. The card is auto-generated, pixel-art, share-worthy. The room tracks your participation by detecting your share.

The compound: each week produces 50–500 shares × ~3–20 clicks each. Every share is also an implicit One Emulator install prompt (you need One Emulator to play). Two installs from every share.

Time-limited. Identity-marker. Social-proof-driven. Low-friction participation. Built once, runs forever.

▸ Resources Layer
Bots post guides · members post resources

What bots post: game guides, walkthroughs, strategy content, romhack docs, speedrun analysis, history, soundtrack appreciation. Officially-available sources: Switch Online, Steam re-releases, GOG, legal dump hardware (GB Operator, Retrode). All defensible.

What members post: their own community-driven resources, including the gray areas. The platform's posture is "we facilitate communication" — same as Discord, Reddit, every forum. A mods profile reviews per-post for clear lines (active-publisher pirated content gets removed; abandonware discussion stays).

The "Resources" pinned thread is community-curated. Members post, upvotes promote, downvotes hide. Your moderation tooling sets where the line sits.

▸ The Bridge
One-tap deep-link from One Emulator

Add a single button in One Emulator: "Chat with other players." Tap → opens Gamecord with a guest session pre-authenticated → user is reading messages in under three seconds. No signup. No app switching. No friction.

This is the entire growth loop. Build first. Ship first. Everything else is secondary.

Pinned welcome card readable in 2 seconds

Top pin: "Welcome — this is where One Emulator players hang out. Ask anything, share clips, get help, find people playing the same game."

One sentence. Clear. Anchored. Every new user reads it instantly and knows what the room is.

▸ The Co-Host
AI co-host already answering questions

One AI configured for retro gaming general knowledge — already in the room when users land. Handles: "best SNES JRPG?", "how do save states work?", "stuck on Bowser in Mario 64." The base model already knows retro gaming; no per-game training needed.

▸ Never Empty
Pre-seeded daily content from the factory

The factory's seeding profile writes 30–50 messages per day: trivia, "game of the day," open questions, public-domain screenshots, speedrun records, daily polls.

The room looks alive even when no humans are talking. A new user never lands in an empty channel.

▸ Entry Points
Content Launcher front and center

Use your existing Content Launcher hard. Every day: one poll ("which console era is best?"), one open question ("game everyone's wrong about?"), one story card (curated retro gaming news with sources).

Every new user has something to react to in their first 30 seconds. Reaction is the lowest-friction first action.

▸ External Reach
Share cards as the growth loop

Every interesting moment exits as a beautifully-designed pixel-art share card: poll results, AI answers, user screenshots, daily highlights. Each has a one-tap join CTA via deep-link.

Cards get screenshot and shared to Reddit, Discord, X, group chats. Each share is a free seeded invite, converts at 5–15%.

▸ Killer Utility
Stuck-in-game help threads

User posts "stuck in Earthbound at Threed" → thread spawns → AI answers in seconds → other users add experience → thread persists, searchable forever.

Over time these become a community knowledge base. The room gets more valuable as it ages, not less.

▸ The Win Share
Screenshot-to-room from One Emulator

Add a "Share to Gamecord" option in One Emulator's screenshot menu. Two-tap flow: screenshot in emulator → share to room with game title auto-detected.

Most retro gamers screenshot their wins. Make those screenshots a daily content stream into the general room.

▸ Aliveness Signal
"X playing right now" presence indicator

Top of room shows "247 online · 84 playing right now." Playing-count pulls from One Emulator's API (with user permission). Tiny detail, massive psychological effect.

The room never feels dead. Even when chat is quiet, the room feels populated.

▸ Blocked · needs research Surfacing a live "playing right now" count runs into app-store rules and regional legislation — privacy/data-collection law, user-consent requirements, and what an emulator is even allowed to broadcast about a user's activity. The compliance picture is unclear and hard to pin down; this needs more research before we can build it.

Status ping on the One Emulator side

▶ TOTAL BUILD
ONE DAY

1 WEEK OF HUMAN TIME = 10 MINUTES OF AI TIME

Eight features are zero engineering — pure configuration of Roomcord capabilities you already have.

Three features need small One Emulator-side work: a button, an intent share, a status ping.

Two features need modest infrastructure: inline video player + thumbnail generator, and weekly challenge orchestrator.

What's intentionally dropped: per-game rooms, per-game AI training, save state files as native type, RetroAchievements OAuth, couch coop streaming, tournaments, console hierarchies. All real ideas. All year 2. None ship now.

This is the 20% that delivers 80%. One room. Thirteen features. Shipped today.
